Is teddy a good name for a german shepard?

Sure. any name you like is a good name. Just remember that you will be using this name for a long time. You can call him Theodore when you are mad at him....like a mom using the long full birthcertificate name when kids misbehave.

Is teddy a good name for a german shepard?
dpends! i mean wat does he look like or wat does he like to do, if he's fury or the exact opposite which will alos go ok. watever will be fine im sure!
Reply:Well, German Shepards are usually not very cuddly. I am not saying that they aren't good pets, but some are vicious (that's a good thing in some cases). Naming a vicious (not that I'm saying that yours is vicious) dog "Teddy" doesn't really fit.
Reply:Does he act like a Teddy? If so, then yes.
Reply:i think teddy is a good name use your judgment what feels right for you name it
Reply:My sister has 2 g/s and she calls them major and general as they where going to bet in the army but fail the test but are great family dog very regal look to them so the names fit
Reply:If you like it, thats all that matters! If you are good to your dog he will respond to you no matter what you name him.
Reply:sure. why not
Reply:If he is a long haired GS

i would want, to call him *TEDDY!*

Reply:Yes, if you like that name, go right ahead and call him that. My neighbor's dog is a german sheperd called snoopy. :)
Reply:No... try something else.
Reply:Some of them, as puppies, look like teddy bears. That would be a good name. Bear would work also.
Reply:i would go for something more unique but it's ok....my dog's names are Tessio (male) and Layka (female) i like them cause they are unique
Reply:No. Teddy is a "cutsie" name and German shephards are not "cutsie". Try "Butch" or "Beast".
Reply:I like it!
Reply:Yep. :)
Reply:I look at the way a pup behaves and think about a name from there. I have a Olde English/Rottie mix that couldn't be named anything but "Yogi Bear", he always wanted the whole picnic basket, and still does. My spouse say's he would rob the 7-11 store for food if he needed to. LOL Good luck with the name, I'm sure anything you choose will be just great.
