How do you say 'what is your name?' 'and my name is...' in German??

I mam stuck on my German homework and i left my books in my locker by mistake! PLEASE help! i need an answer by Monday!

How do you say 'what is your name?' 'and my name is...' in German??
Wie heisst du? Ich Heisse Holly. Replace the double ss with one of those b shaped doubles ss signes.
Reply:What is your name = Wass ist ihre name (vas ist ear narmer)

my name is = Mein name ist (mine narmer ist)

n.b. You use the word Dein for 'your' only if the person is a friend , family member or someone known well to you. You use Ihre for 'your' if the person you are talking to is someone you have just met, or a stranger. It is considered impolite to use 'dein, if you have only met them. HTH
Reply:Hi ems,

Would be very happy to help. I have just been onto an online Translating site (which is always very sucsessfull) And what's your name in german is: was dein Name ist .... and my name is :mein Name ist. Hope this helps. Have a nice weekend ems xxx.xxx
Reply:Wass ist ihre name (vas ist ear narmer) should tell you cuz it cheating but here anyway
Reply:Literally it's "Was ist dein Name?" and "Mein Name ist...", but in German you'd rather say "Wie hei脽t du?" und "Ich hei脽e..."
Reply:Wie heisst du? What is your name?

Ich heisse Bob. My name is Bob
Reply:What is your name: Wie heist? (pronounced: Vee High-st)

My name is: Ich heisse (Pr: Ik High-sa)
Reply:wie heisst du; und ich heisse............
Reply:Depending on your relationship to the person, it would be 'Wie heissen Sie?' or 'Wie heisst Du?'.

'Wie heissen Sie?' to an older person or person in authority, 'Wie heisst Du?' to a peer.

The reply is 'Ich heisse..............'.

The ss of heissen is actually a special German character - I cannot do it on my computer.
