What is the best brand name of dog food to feed to a german shepherd dog?

Canidae is a good dog food, but my favorite is Innova Large dog food-it is more pricey than most foods but there is no soy, wheat gluten, or corn, or preservatives additives, fillers, or artifical cooring or flavoring-made of human food grade ingredients:)

Reply:there is no such thing as best dog food, it depends on teh taste of your dog. however, the most balance diet i suggest are made by IAMS, HILLS and ROYAL, with each of these brands, they are integrated into special diet to suit the condition of your dog, eg: if concern with kidney function, there is a special diet for it (K/D in Hills), or with teeth (T/D) etc.





i know there are many ppl against these commerical diet, but when think about it, these companies have spend billions and billions of dollars in research and development for the best diet to ensure their sales, so the diet they come up with are pretty gd, and im not saying other company like Masterfood doesnt do a gd job, but the companies i mentioned specialised in making pet food.

Reply:I have always had good luck with Purina O.N.E. dog food for my German Shepherds.
Reply:Innova EVO and Canidae are both excellent foods. Chicken Soup, Merrick, California Natural, Nature's Variety Raw Instincts, Wellness, Natural Balance, some of the Solid Gold line, etc are all good and are relatively low on grains. Purina, Pedigree, Science Diet, IAMS, Eukanuba, etc are not suitable foods as they have too many grains, by-products, mystery meats, etc.
