What is the name for the German heart shaped cookie sold at fairs and customized with frosting?

because it is made of ginger bread (Lebkuchen) and the shape is a heart (Herz).





A nice present for your friend when you visit for example the "oktoberfest".

These hearts are actually a symbol of commitment, I guess is right word...maybe status? Think of them like a boyfriend winning a stuffed teddy bear at a carnival, fair, or boardwalk for his girlfriend. Usually, the boy buys the heart for the girl, expecting a kiss in return as well. Report Abuse
