How do you pronounce the german name "Antje"? And what does it mean?

Latest addition (you could read the rest, but if you really are only interested in the pronounciation, check www.antje.de, a web site for the Dutch cheese promotion campaing in Germany. On the intro Frau film snippet Antje says her own name (maybe difficult to hear from someone who doesn't speak German)

My original story:

I'm not sure if you would say that it is German. I'm Dutch and here are also a lot of girls named Antje. It's more a children's name, coming from Johanna (Joanne in English?), the female form of Johannes (latin for John, after Johannes the evangelist and Johannes the baptist).

If an Antje has grown up, we call her An (Anne in English).

Funny detail: the Dutch promotion campaing in Germany for Dutch Cheese shows a Dutch women in old dutch clothing as if see is a nice damsel from a small Dutch village about two hundred years ago. Her name: Frau Antje (Frau is German for lady. If you speak formal to a woman: my dear lady - in German: gn盲dige Frau)

Tip: google for Frau Antje

Anayway, about the pronounciation (in German the same as in Dutch):

"A" as the A in British "After" or "****" (excuse the word, I don't know an American word with an "ah" sound.

n and t are the same as in English. So you could speak ANT now (but then A as in ****)

j and e is almost like the dzu in jerk, but not with a d sound but with a t sound
