Reply:When we bought our German Shepherd pup, we knew we were getting a girl. We weren't sure what to call her but when we went to pick her up, we met both parents, whose names were Rocky and Holly, so we called our puppy Holly after her Mum!

Reply:I've heard that it makes it easier for the dog to learn his name if you pick a name that is two syllables and ends in a vowel sound.
