Reply:If they're looking for not modern music but sort of 80s / 90s popular German music, you could look for 99 Luftballoons, of course. Also look for songs by Die fantastischen Vier or Die Toten Hosen. I'm not saying that these are the best bands in Germany, but they're pretty popular and they sing in German.
