Where does the surname Link originate from? Is it a German name or did it originate from the UK?
The only way to be certain where your ancestors came from is genealogy research of your own family history. There really are no shortcuts.
Reply:Ancestry.Com shows most come from Germany. However, Granny is right. You need to trace your family starting with your parents and going back to know for sure. Names sometimes show up in different countries and have different origins.
