Yes 'relaxin' is spot on, on both counts.


I remember that film well.


It was awful.


I absolutely loathed it.





More importantly I must take issue with your statement that Wilhelm Furtwangler belonged to the Nazi party.


This is simply a lie.


Furtw盲ngler resisted Hitler,to him there was no such thing as Nazi Germany, but rather a Germany raped by Nazis.


He was treated as a pawn by the party,who habitually spewed forth false propaganda proclaiming his support.


It was the Party,after refusing to join them and even refusing to salute Adolf at a concert, that made him a Staatsrat (State Councilor) for life, an official-sounding but purely honorary title that Hitler knew he could not legally refuse and which Nazi news releases lost no time picking up on.


In the end he was a virtual prisoner in his own country.
